Mission

Michigan Healthcare Volunteer Resource Professionals (MHVRP), chartered in 1972, is a non-profit corporation with the purpose of promoting the professional development of the membership and advancing the quality of volunteer services management in healthcare institutions.

Purpose

MHVRP is a non-profit corporation whose purpose is to advance and develop effective volunteer services administration in healthcare organizations.

Goals

  •  Providing a means of intercommunication among volunteer services professionals in Michigan.

  • Expanding the role of volunteers and volunteer service programs in healthcare institutions.

  • Developing training opportunities for  volunteer services professionals in the healthcare field.

  • Increasing the knowledge and improving the skills of the individual members.

  • Providing consultation and guidance on matters related to volunteer services administration.

  • Establishing and maintaining professional standards and ethics.

  • Cooperating with appropriate organizations in activities relating to volunteer services administration that will be beneficial to the corporation.
